Arkansas Contractor License (AR)

 A contractors license is required in Arkansas (AR) prior to bidding on any residential or commercial project that exceeds $20,000.  In addition, all plumbing, HVAC/R, and electrical work also requires a license.  Applications can be obtained from the following boards: contractors by calling 1-501-372-4661; electricians by calling 1-501-682-4549; and plumbing and HVAC/R professionals by calling 1-501-661-2642.  To schedule a contractor examination, contact Thomson Prometric at 1-800-796-9855.  To schedule a HVAC/R examination, contact ICC-LaserGrade at 1-877-782-3926.  Plumbing and electrical examinations can be scheduled through the board.
